As you will certainly know, the province of Pesaro and Urbino, where Adv Media Lab has its headquarters, has become an orange zone due to measures against the spread of Covid-19 infection. At first the news was a shock for LAB, which deals exclusively with training and which is just starting its activities. While the world of Adv Media Lab (the digital one) has always been used to working in smart working without being affected in any way by problems related to physical constraints and travel, for training the situation changes. Training has always been usually done in the classroom or in the company and, no one knows for how long, this will no longer be possible.
However, after an initial phase of dismay, we were heartened. It is true that training is traditionally done live, but internally we have been using remote training for a long time, we know how to do it and it is very effective. As with many other areas of our lives, already web designs and development service transformed over the years by digitalisation, it is just a question of changing habits. In this case we have a virus that is "helping" us to change faster , to discover that, as usual, what is gained is greater than what is lost. The typical socialization of the classroom disappears together.
With the pleasure of coffee breaks together, but it is gained in time and efficiency. Travel costs are reduced and it is possible to create a network of knowledge and relationships, starting from digital, much broader than that typical of classrooms.
